Would you rather: Date someone with opposite political views OR someone with different religious beliefs?

Which difference do you think would be harder to overcome in a relationship:
1. Someone with completely opposite political views
2. Someone from a different religious background

Why would you choose one over the other?
 
As someone who dated across both divides:
Political differences caused daily friction (how we voted, news reactions).
Religious differences only surfaced during holidays/life events but we respected each other's practices.
So politics was harder FOR ME because it permeated everyday life. But this depends on how strongly each person holds their views!
