I always panic when there's an awkward silence on dates. What are your best strategies for keeping conversation flowing naturally? Should I prepare topics in advance or just go with the flow?
I usually wait until we've had about 10-15 good message exchanges. Then I say something like "I'm really enjoying our conversation - would you be up for a quick call this week?" Never had anyone say no!
As a guy, I wait for her to suggest moving to phone/FaceTime. Some women prefer to take things slower, and I don't want to come on too strong. Usually happens naturally after a few days of good conversation.
I appreciate when someone suggests a quick video call within the first few days. Texting can be so misleading! A 10-minute call tells me way more than weeks of messages.
